Mountain Rock Big wall
Course includes 7 nights accommodation - 5 full days climbing

A course intended for those who wish to experience multi-pitch big wall climbing and to learn some of the techniques involved in aid climbing.

The final part of the course will involve a two day ascent of a long multi-pitch rock climb which will use all the techniques required for big wall climbing e.g. hanging belays, either on small ledges or Porta ledges, the use of artificial aids( bolts ,pitons and natural gear) combined with free climbing. All student need to have had past experience of rock climbing on multi pitches with a standard of climbing to 4c Very Severe(UK) grade V (European) Students who have attended our course in the past as particularly well suited for this type of course.

The course will initially start with our basic rope and rock session and will also include our self-rescue practice. The course in an intensive one and requires a lower student to instructor ratio and high cost in equipment. Due to this fact this course will have a higher premium than our normal course. (See course fees). Due to the higher ratio of staff to students for this course a higher fee will be charged. This course is particularly suited for those who have attended a previous climbing course with us.

Using hauling systems
 Hanging belay
 Mixed free and aid routes.
Ascending fixed ropes
 Bivouac skills
