It is situated at the foot of the mighty Puig Campana (4580 ft) a huge and awe inspiring mountain. It is a typical unspoiled Spanish village with a population of around 900. Few of the residents speak English. This will cause you no problems as all are so helpful and friendly. Although Finestrat is easily accessible to the airport of Alicante, you will get a real taste of Spain. Within easy reach of your accommodation there are shops providing most of the food you will need and small bars and restaurants which sell meals at very reasonable prices. These same bars provide a lovely atmosphere for your evenings "Apres Climbing" and relaxation. The surrounding countryside provide our students with opportunities to walk and cycle amongst some of the most loveliest of Spain's mountain regions. Your accommodation - Finestrat is centrally placed to take advantage of all the magnificent rock and mountains. Although easily accessible to the airport of Alicante (about 43Km) you will get the real taste of Spain. Your Casa (house not a bunkhouse) is well equipped with Showers, Sitting room, a well appointed Kitchen, Dining room. All bedrooms have single beds, each room has either one, two, or three beds. Plus Patio's with distant views of the Mediterranean. Finestrat has Mini-Markets, Fresh bread shops, and many Bars and Restaurants. All within a few minutes walk of the Casa.
